We were pleased to host the Grad Class of 2025/2026 from the Natural Resources and Forestry program at the College of New Caledonia!

The day began with a field visit to one of our blocks, where students examined plantations approaching free-growing status and learned about the management decisions involved in reaching this stage.

We then toured one of our wildfire mitigation blocks along the East Canoe, the site of last summer’s fire. This provided an excellent opportunity to discuss provincial funding for post-fire reforestation and the planning that goes into creating effective fire breaks.
